Jai Hindley
Jai Hindley is our latest patron. The young man from Perth got his entry onto the international scene in 2016 with Attaque team Gusto and then joined Mitchelton Scott development squad in 2017 where he won Tour Fuzou in China. He finished second in the 2017 Jayco Herald Sun Tour and then won the last edition of race in 2020 when he moved to World Tour team Sunweb.
He burst onto the international scene with a galant second overall in the 2020 Giro d’Italia, wearing the coveted pink Maglia Rosa into the final time trial stage. And then became the first Aussie to win the Giro d’Italia in 2022 riding for Bora Hansgrohe and only the second Aussie to win a Grand Tour.
On 5 July 2023, Hindley won Stage 5 of the Tour de France snatching the Maillot Jaune and tenaciously battled through pain to finish seventh overall.
